if your not going to upgrade the turbo, 264/272, if you are upgrading just go with 272/272

I have 272/272 and dont mind the idle at all.You just have to get used to driving it at low speeds but it aint no big deal.Shiv raised my idle a bit and it has never died on me.Some people might not like like it so I'd say this combo is not for everyone but I'm going all out in search for power. Now I love the idle,it scare's everyone listening to a brand new car that sounds like it's got a race prepped motor already.

559EVO has a good point.. I also have the 272-272 combo and have absolutely no problems with it... It has never stalled, and drives exactly the same as it did before.. Turn on the A/C and it drives just fine still.. I love the power and idle.. Also like he said in the other reply, after you waste a vette and they catch up to you at the next whatever, they're like, "what the hell is in that thing??!!" It's pretty cool I must say..

I've been running 264/272 since January. Really happy with it.

I actually wonder if I should have gone with 272/272... But no regrets.

I just ordered 272s for both... plus cam gears... They should be good for about 25 horse after a good tuning right... Should i do intercooler upgrade next or, intercooler pipes...

I think what you might be better off with are the 264/272 combo, just so that you can see gains, and maintain a great smooth powerband... with out the lump in idle... play it safe, you can always switch out the intake cam later right...

I have the 264/264 cams and I like them alot. The idle is about the same as stock. The top end is much improved. I am probably going to stick with the stock turbo, so I think this is the best way to go. If my stock turbo goes out in the future, the 264/264 combination will have plenty enough top end. I would dare to say that you would never tell the difference in top end pull between the 272/272 and the 264/264 if you didn't know which was in the car. If you are having a built engine and reving above 8000 RPM then the 272/272 is the way to go. That is the only place that the 272's really out do the 264's, IMO..

I've got 272s, picked up almost 30HP! The idle is choppy like a camm'd car should sound. I did notice it moved my "powerband" up a few hundred rpms, but the top end punch is hard! When I turn on the AC it idles lower but no stalls.
