Best full 3pod Gauge pillar...?
Best full 3pod Gauge pillar...?
I have a Wicked White 2003 Evo VIII and I was just curious as to everyone's opinions with the best 3pd gauge pillar out there, as far as price, cost efficiency and quality.
My pillars in the car are that wierd looking slat grey color... its not solid grey, seems to have speckles in it? Just curious... any opinions would help a ton, I want to make sure the pillar looks clean and matches the rest of the grey interior.

i would give you an answer but i dont know. for the most part they are pretty much the same unless you get a different finish like carbon fiber, plain black, or painted to match your car. my .02
Well I just didnt know if it mattered... didnt want to end up buying a pos pillar that doesnt fit for crap... (ie carbon fiber products, hoods etc). I've seen some hoods that shouldnt even be sold to people, that dont fit and look like crap.
i'd like to help, but I'm trying to figure out that exact same thing at the moment, I think I might go with the carbon fiber ones, they seem to be the only ones i've found so far that come with the tweeter hole pre-cut

i think i got one of those hoods.
With carbon fiber though you really gotta understand that unless your paying $1000+ for a hood its most definately going to have some imperfections in it. Usually the more complex the design, the more imperfections. Fitment has, for me at least, been great with carbon products. Anyway, I have an autometer full pillar and I like it. Its black and has a cutout for the tweeter. I personally prefer the black look over the tan to match the other side. I think it kinda keeps the fung shway(i have no idea how that should be spelled so I just spelled it like it sounds) of the drivers side. It also depends what size gauges you want. I think theres only a carbon and tan one for 60mm gauges. The autometer one i have is 52mm.
