HKS exhaust
I am going to be buying exhaust in the near future and was wondering why the hks down pipe is 2.75 and most of the other companies are 3in. ? does it make more/les power and does it matter when you bolt it up to a 3in. HFC?

Well, that does not make sense to me, as you would be restricting some airflow there, but, i do know because of a support brace or something under the car on the IX there is some clearance issues with some peoples cars and certain exhausts. Again, some i read some people had problems with clearance, others did not.
Search for 3inch DP vs 2.75 inch. This has been covered before, some folks would say 3 inch is definately better and makes more power. Some would say 2.75 is just perfect for stock turbo. It seems most 2.75 DP's are better fitting because they don't rub against other parts of the car as much.
I have the HKS dp on my 05 and it fits perfect!!!! I use to have a 3" dp and it was right on my oil pan that is why I changed to the HKS. I didn't feel any difference in power (butt dyno). I have it matted up to a 3" hi flow cat.
