Horn Replacement to a Dual Tone Air Horn

I did some late night eBay bidding and I won an auction for a Wolo dual tone horn http://tinyurl.com/pt9p2 . It said it can fit on "most cars". I popped the hood and it's beyond me how two horns are gonna fit. Have you replaced the horn on your Evo? Are the trumpets easy to fit or did I just waste $25? Please post a picture if you can.

Here is a link to the horn sound http://www.wolo-mfg.com/air.htm . Scroll down to the Model 403.

I had em zip tied then eventually i bolted em on that inner beam that the hood latch sits on. I have the stock horn in now though.

I saw one that has a bunch of songs programmed. They also sell one that plays Dixie if you want to make your Evo into some riced up version of the General Lee!

I wanted to get a Ferrari sounding horn, but those were close to $100. It's going to be more than that in labor to get my front end removed....

I used to have the Fiamm triple horns in a previous car. I think people are getting the wrong idea.. they don't play music. more than 1 horn in different lengths gives you 2 or more frequencies, same reason most cars have 2 actual horns. They were much louder than the hella supertones I have right now. The downsides were mounting, as you have found out, and they use moving mechanical parts (the air pump). But they were great for getting the attention of the guy about to hit you cuz he didnt check his blind spot. The Fiamms were $37, and back then I had them mounted in the engine bay pointing down and were still very audible.

But why ?? Do you honestly use your horn THAT much ? Even a ferrari horn is kinda a joke. Would you put that on your mod list (rhetorica) ? Oh and please don't say $100 like it is a lot of money .... don't tell anyone.... but new.... the car runs for $30K+ . I don't think you will have to justify spending $100 on a $30K+ car.

It's not how MUCH you use the horn. It's the 1 time you need it when someone doesn't hear it because they're on the highway going 70+ and have their radio on. Maybe the OP likes the sound. Me, I just want the volume.

I know that $100 is not much dough, but it was way more than I wanted to spend for a damn horn. I don't use it that much, but I thought it would be cool to turn heads the few times that I do, like when my car is ready at the car wash or when it returns from valet parking.
