i was woundring if anyone here knows if a evo 7 ecu will work? .......i.e, ayc , anti lag, ect..... i know the car runs but i dont know if this stuff works please help me out maybe someone on here has a evo 7 to evo 8 ecu swap??? dont ask me why they did this they told me that it had to be done for emissions and to make it us legal for the us.

 

just spoke with john at jester tuning found out what i needed to find out i highly rec jester tuning to anybody who needs ecu work or there car tuned, he knows his stuff and is awsome help

the fuel pump wire is different i think..
because when i was hooking up my aem i had to switch the position of the wire for the fuel pump in order for it to start up

 

what i meant to post was i have a us evo 8 ecu in my evo 7 rs2 and i wanted to know if anyone knows if the car runs properly example: anti lag, ayc, acd, the car runs but i dont know if this stuff works right because of the us evo 8 ecu and i wanted to see if anyone on here who has a evo 7 has a evo 8 ecu in the car and if it works ( maybe the ecu didnt change that much from 7 to 8 and there interchangable thats what i mean to post

so is it interchangeable? i expect that the evo8 ecu (usdm) does not have the ayc stuff. and antilag is just a form of tuning so that can be changed.

 

thats what i want to know ?i talked to john at jester tuning and he said just to send him the evo 8 ecu and he will burn a evo 7 map onto the evo 8 ecu i have so....... he aid he will take of everything so thats where i stand now

it says that u drive an evo 7. how did u bring in an evo 7 in the US? i have a friend who is trying to look for ways to ship his Evo 5 from the philippines to the US since he is migrating, but up to now, no one can provide sufficient info.

 

from evolution imports but iam warning you do not do buisness with them! be carefull with your money just do a search on them you will find out all the info u need about them
