Evo IX's will end production soon, there will be a LE Evo IX, and then probably a year lull before the Evo X comes out

2006 is the end of the IX. Get them while you can. Dealers are still receiving orders but the tooling for the IX is being removed to make way for the X so manufacturing can only go so far into 2006 before the factory needs to be modified for the new production shapes / parts etc. and assembly line to change.

of course they could make more if they really wanted. but most companies dont run more than their planned production numbers. so either get one now or get one used or get a X

I still don't understand why Mitsubishi would only produce one year of the IX's when they represent a marked improvement over the VIII's. I would think that they would want to recover more of the money that they spent manufacturing the IX by making it available for at least 2 or 3 years.

I agree however it doesnt meet 2007 model year federal laws and the 7,8,9 were all on the same platform and the x is a new model from the ground up that requires full plant retooling. thats why I got mine now, I wasnt planing on getting it til next spring. That and I dont like where the X is going
