2500 miles, one small bullseye and today another one What is up with the glass on an evo? It's as if it's thinner and more tempered than 'standard' glass making it brittle and more prone to cracking. When it rains it sounds as if the rain is frozen as it hits the glass. Even when a small stone hits the windshield it scares the crap out of me, sounds like a firecracker, lol. Anyone else notice this? I do not tailgate either

 

never had this problem. Possibly when they changed the IX wing to a weaker plastic they changed the windshield to a weaker glass

 

Yeah, this is nothing new. All evo's have this problem. The windshield is thinner and chips and cracks are very common.

 

i got my 2nd cracked (dime size spider) windshield since i have owned the car. It was replaced with an oem shield the last time this happened. Looks like windshield #3 will be going in soon. cheap paint & cheap glass are my only complaints in 2 years of ownership.

 

I am looking to get a Regular Lancer Windsheild, where can I get one? My stock one is shot to ****.
