these threads are everywhere...there are two on the first page lol...

if u read the other threads, everybody always says the same things in response.

i always say: if u're staying stock, go with the MR; if u're modding, go with the GSR.

then if u can, get the MR and mod that.

unless u want a black Evo, in which case u'd have to settle for the GSR.

everything else is just personal preferences. performance differences are minor to none.

good luck

If your going to get the MR you can mod the suspension with bushings, swaybars, and bumpsteer correction.

Get the MR. I had the 03 gsr and just bought the MR and what a difference there is between the 6 speed and over all ride from my 03. If you have the money get the MR you will be happier in the long run.

As great MR Bilisteins are, I got the coilover suspension to lower my ride height a bit and have adjustable damper for my personal satisfaction. I dont think I need that Zero lift kit though. I probably end up scraping that thing too much

The aluminum roof would've been nice but that I can do without. 5 or 6 speed wouldnt have mattered with me eitherway.

What difference between the 6 speed? The mr is the only one that has the 6th gear. How could you tell a difference between the models?

Also the ride on the mr is softer due to the bilsteins. The stock rs and gsr suspension is actually stiffer which is better in circuit racing. You dont beleive me ask rob I have ridden in his car pretty damn fun ride to tell ya and i COULD TELL A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RIDEs. I also have another friend with a mr and I hve driven his extensively and its waaay softer not to mention the countless mr's Ihave test driven.

You want pure performance and a race ready car? get the rs. PERIOD!

I normally don't let people, I've let about 2-3 people smoke in the last 6 months.

Have you even driven a new MR compared to an 03? The Trans on the MR is so much smoother. And me personally I like the blisteins because I'm in the NYC area and the car is low enough and I don't need to scrape it any more.

i don't believe i've seen any road course tests that favored the regular evo suspension over the bilsteins but i could be wrong. link me! i'd get the MR if i were you and sell the brand new bbs' for a pretty penny to get the rims you want if you don't like the bbs'. you could probrably get 12-1500 bucks for a mint set.
