Please help me choose the right one!!!

Well here's my deal. I had a $1000 deposit down on an Evo VIII since Oct 2002 at one dealership. When the car came I did my best to get the Evo at MSRP but with no luck. Sad to say but I had to walk, it was the principle of the thing that made me say I had to wait it out and got my deposit back. Now last night I called a dealership a little farther away, the one I leased my current Mitsu Galant from, and was just curious to hear what they were selling the Evo for. I called and was transfered to a sales rep, unbenounced to me at the time it was the sales manager of the dealership, named Steve. When I asked if they were selling the Evo above MSRP he quickly replied yes, and as bummed out for a second, then he asked how I was planning on paying for the car and said I was looking to financ through a lender of the dealerships choice, t my amazment he said, "then you know what I'll give it to you for sticker price." I froze for a second and said really?!? He said suer just come down tonight or tomorrow night and we'll get this rolling. I asked well I need to do a little bit of traveling and I don't wanna show up and here the car isn't for sticker anymore, he replied his name was Steve and he was the sales manager. My choices of cars were as follows:

Red roof
Silver roof
Black no roof

I love all the cars, and need some push on which one to chose after I go to the dealer tonight see if I'm actually getting pulled into a scam or not.... I'll keep you posted on what happens, but please leave all the comments you can!!

Thanks!

heads - silver
tails - black

It was that close for me - the dealer ended up making up my mind for me

I like the Evo in red, but after owning a red fd, I am very tired of the extra attention given by my friendly neighborhood 5.0.

Silver anything else is so much work to keep clean. Red draws too much attention and Black looks very plain in the dark.

When you said "I was looking to finance through a lender of the dealerships choice, " the sales manager probably saw dollar signs dancing in his head. Watch out or you'll get raped on financing charges. They could offer you some crazy low monthly payment, but it could be for 72 months and 8.99%.

Out of those 3, I'd go with the silver w/roof.

Red Roof! TRUST! it will look HOT! Especially with white wheels. That is my second favorite after the blue.

Hard choice. Black is beautiful but absorbs the heat. If you live in a hot climate its rough lol.
Silver: I have yet to see many silver paints that held up to the test of time.
Red: Attracts attention but looks nice

I say go with any of them and enjoy.

I am buying black because it's looks the best clean and it shows off the curves the best. Yes it's hard to keep clean, but I look at it this way why buy a car that once you clean it you can't really tell the difference. by getting black you will not have this problem. Silver would be #2

red. looks the best IMO. Harder than silver to keep clean but much easier than black. Silver looks nice and muscular but BLAAAH. Red looks like a race car/rally car. FUN, FUN, FUN.

Black is the shiznit but for me ... BUT, IMO it's a must to have the moonroof ... girlz dig my moonroof and then you can smoke we*d with the windows up. JK! Plus is looks great and it's a quality moonroof ... much better than my former '88 & '93 Preludes.

black with no moonroof

i hate moonroofs... they cost money, they add weight. and they make your car less strong.

Black and white are the hardest to keep clean. Black will show swirl marks from many car washes unless you keep up with the waxing.

Silver is the easiest to clean.
I like red, white, black, and yellow.

Hey tpm17 what dealership is it? Out on Long Island or in NJ? Red is hot but statistically red cars get in more accidents and get pulled over more! Silver is nice but everyone has silver these days (ie civics). Black is nice just avoid scratches and dents because they show the most on black cars.
