Mpg........?
Pre-break in I was getting about 240 or so miles between fill ups. After my breakin oil change when I felt free to experiment I got about 130 on a full tank. 70% urban driving, 30% freeway driving.
Well, I never really expected an economy car.... During break in I got around 20+ mpg combination of city and freeway 50%-50%
Now I'm getting around 18+ mpg with the same mix of highway-city driving.....
I was getting 21+ with my WRX so that's pretty significant. I think the EVOs gearing is not ideal for high fuel economy. If we had another gear with a taller ratio, I could probably do 10% better pretty easily......
At least I'm not seeing these incredible high mileage figures that the Miata peeps and even the Subbie folks would post
Really, I gotta have my doubts about claims of 35+ mpg combined driving for Miatas and nearly 30 mpg from some WRXrs... Somebody is coasting a lot or fibbing a lot
