05 EB for a GG IX MR?

There's a IX GG MR at a local dealership here in Wisconsin and I really want to trade my 05 EB for it. The sales man said he'll give me $26,000 for mine and $34,000 for the MR. I have about $23,000 still to pay off, man I really want to do this but I don't know if it's worth it. For many of you who have traded in their 05 VIII for a IX MR, is it worth it? I got the 0% interest rate for 60 months and I don't think it's going to apply for the IX MR. I have always wanted an MR and I have read so much about how crazy the IXs and MRs are with simple mods.

Now, if I don't this my future plan will be to upgrade my stock turbo to a GT35R and go on from there. What are your thoughts?

The gains have nothing to do with the MR - it's the IX part that matters. IXs are definitely worth the upgrade over an 05, but in your case, you'd lose a LOT of money. If you really are getting that much on a trade-in (highly highly doubtful) and are really getting below invoice even with a high quite on a trade-in, then you should do it. I just have a hard time believing they're going to pay a premium for your trade-in then give you below invoice on a new one. DEalerships don't do that...

I looked at the VIII but decided to wait for the IX and I'm glad I did. I got my GG IX MR for $34 and some change but I'm really skeptical about them giving you $26 for your trade.

Also, you won't get 0% on the IX the going rate is more like 6+% right now with perfect credit (at least in my area) That is something to consider because it will dramatically change your payment amount.

If you are getting +$3,000 on your trade in, then yea, it's worth it. It's just if you want to start another series of car payments. Instead of paying your car off in 3 years, you will be on a new payment plan which would extend another 1-2 years.

I didn't upgrade to a IX because I only have 2 more years left of payments. Plus the 9 isn't all that much different from the VIII. I'd rather be able to buy another car in 2 years. Then I can build my VIII into whatever I want.

The IX's are nice, and I would definitly buy one, just the timing isn't right for me. I already have an VIII and don't have too much longer until it is paid for.

I'll talk to the sales man again for the price of the IX MR but he did said he'll give me $26,000 for my trade in depending on the condition of the car. I have an 05 SSL and there is about 5500 on it. The total price for the IX MR is $36999, he'll take off $999 and $500 (Customer discount ?) = 35,500. Now if I really want this car I could get him to give it to me 35000. $34,000 is where I would like him to go but I doubt that it will happen.

I used to work at Avondale Mitsu in Avondale, AZ..the salespersons there made a KILLING. Fooling dumbasses into buying Evo9's for 40-49k. Kids buying Evo9's all day for 40k...how sad.

I got my GG MR IX for a little under 35, I am right around 6%, and my payments are approx. 575 for 6 years. Digest that. Do you really want one now? The salesman is playing you. He thinks once he starts the deal you will cave in.

Yea I don't think it's worth it. I can do mods and be as fast as the IXs. I don't think I'm going to go through it. Thanks for all of your inputs...

I think it's best to just pay off your current car. Good deicision.

On a side note, I work for an insurance agency and one of our clients several months ago, came in and bought insurance for his brand new IX MR. I asked him how much he paid and he said around 47k. I played it cool and did'nt say anything, but HOLY HELL! Does'nt seem like he even bothered to talk the dealership down.

Hey Sesso, Big 2 over in Mesa has two MRs in the lot and one in the showroom. They aren't that hard to find. And they aren't $40k either.
