The quality of the IX is as good or better than the STi and the ride is smoother. At the same time the Evo's steering is sharper and more precise and it has less body roll during cornering.

The gearbox on the Evo is a million times smoother than the notchy one in the STi and the gears are longer. I like the way you can actually run out a gear on the Evo rather than the rapid shifting required in the STi.

The Evo has far better seats and the Evo also has more leg room especially for rear seat passengers.
owner of a STI and EVO...........you da man.

If you plan to mod the evo, be prepared for little-no warrenty support
Even if you don't mod, the dealerships will try to give you little to no warranty support. Don't expect the same customer satisfaction as Subaru (I believe they are rated number 1 in the country, over Toyota and Honda). With Mitsubishi you are on your own...SOL.

I completely agree. When I test drove the STi I felt like I was shifting every second. First gear was almost non existant. Just annoying. Oh and im 6"2 so with me driving, there's no way anybody could sit behind me. The front seat basically was touching the rear seat.

Just to be more helpful than Warrtalon (which isn't very difficult), I did find a picture of the rostra...

I don't like it at all, any pictures of OTHER cruise controls? Ideally a button one would suit me better.
