Weird Problem with Turbo Timer Idling

Hey everyone...I just installed a Blitz FATT DC IV turbo timer in my IX RS with its corresponding harness. Everything went fine. The timer starts up perfectly. When driving, it reads the RPMs perfectly and adds time. It also corresponds properly with throtle pressure.

One problem though: After going for a quick spin, the timer automatically counted the RPMs and added the appropriate seconds. When I went to shut the car off, the timer didnt work! Both the car and the timer powered down like normal. It did not idle for its 30 sec like it said on the timer. The timer just said OFF and the car shut off as normal.

There was only one problem when installing the timer. A white piece with two springs right above the key hole fell off. Then a chiming sound started like when the door is open. I quickly put it back in properly and it stopped. Everything seemed normal.

Why wont the car idle like the timer should make it? HELP PLEASE!!!

No. I didnt hook up the ebrake wire. I didnt hook the ebrake one up with my Greddy and Apexi timers that I had and everything worked just fine. With the Blitz do you need it hooked up maybe??

I have a blitz, I know if the ebrake is down(wire not in contact with ground), the car will shut off like normal. With the ebrake on it will continue timing.

I think you do have to have the wire connected, just try holding it to a ground and see if it will time down like normal.
