Of course these would not be the OEM ones but if I could make the exact duplicate JDM MR tail lights with LED...you think people would be interested? Price would be similar to the OEM JDM MR tail lights at around $370 shipped. For the same price as OEM lights.... you get brake lights, turn signals and reverse all in LED. These would be the complete tail lights, no need to take it apart etc...its complete and of course come with all necessary harness to make it plug and play. need some feed back on this...

 

If the reverse were white LED's and the turnsigs were orange, then I think you'll generate some interest. Oh, and the surrounds need to be black (either flat or chrome like the IX's)

if they were made it would look 100% identical like the OEM JDM MR lights...black or chrome black housing just like the JDM 9 lights and of course orange ambers just like the JDM ones, not the faded looking orange. I would not be interested myself if they didnt look identical. Here is a sample of how it would turn out if I had them made.

 

i love led's rear much cleaner look. i think you would turn alot of heads. it would compliment peoples hid headlights, and give the overall car a real modern look.

 

What about those of us that already have JDM MR Tails, would you be able to convert them to the LED style?

 

i dont think so... 99% of the people dont know how to take them apart.

 

Could you clarify:

Will you have us send you the tail lamps and you do the work then send them back?

OR

Will you buy tail lights on your own, do the retro, then sell them?

you should put up a pic of normal JDM rears lit up for comparison.

 

make the tail lights with LED in it. it would not be worth it to buy OEM tail lights and then convert them...

yes the money is there but i would need to sell quite a few to break even
