Question BOV and Intake sound question?

My car is so load now. I don't now if its the intake or BOV that makes the loud high pitch noise.
My BOV sounds like a rattle snake and is kind of annoying. I have a GReddy RS that I got a pretty good deal on. I think I paid 159 for it.

I didn't think my car would be so load after a few bolt ons.

My mods are TBE, BR FMIC, UIC, LIC, Mass air pipe and filter kit, Hallman MBC, HKS 272 Cams, GReddy RS BOV, and fuel pump.

How do I get my BOV to not sound like an annoying rattle snake?
I tried tightening the spring but it just makes the car surge and doesn't help the sound.

I thought the GReddy RS BOV was suppose to make a quite whoosh noise

Here is a link to a Video I just made so you can hear for your self. Sorry about shaking, it was done with a digital camera.

IN_CAR_VIDEO_LINK

The sound is much louder then it seems in the video!!! And no its not VTA!

Sorry to say it, but its the greddy BOV leaking! i had the same problem, once i hit around 16lbs it would start doing it. Do you have a boost gauge? well that how i knew it was the bov, i have the defi BF and notice that when climing up the boost and hit around 16 the needle did actually looked like a rattle sneak tail, the way it was going back and forth. I couldnt get it at first because it was fine before, it was once i upgrade to injen intake which comes with upper and lower ic pipes. i change to jdm mr and all good now, no "rattle snake" sound anymore just a nice whooooosh sound, im think on crushing it to get even more boost hold.

Actually it holds boost just fine, I have it set to 20psi on 93 octane and the needle doesn't move at all, it stay right at 20psi.

That actually sounds about right. The high pitched noise is just the sound of the turbo spoolin up magnified by the new intake and the greddy sounds the way that it should. Yeah it's loud but I like it

mine would hold 23 too but try to hit the gas pedal very lightly, and watch the boost go up. mine did it when i did this, but if i just punch it, it would not...very weird. try a friends diferent bov and you will see.

I have no problem with full throttle but I do have a problem with low rpm throttle,
For example I was on the highway in 5th gear going about 65 mph and the car in
front of me finally decided to get out of the way so I floored it and the car surged and
bucked, so I down shifted to to 4th gear and gave it throttle and it responded just fine.

Did yours come with 2 springs, mine only came with one.

Right now I have it set to the softest setting and it still does the series of small whoosh's or fluttering.

I also tried it tight and it just makes the car surge.

Do I need a softer spring?

Does anybody no where I can get a softer spring or have one for sale.

I think its because the spring is to soft, please correct me if I am wrong.

If you think its because the spring is to soft then why would you want a softer spring? also the softer the setting more likely its going to open under higher boost situations.

Go outside and make a few adjustments to the bov, tighten it up a little at a time then go for a drive and see what difference it makes.

I would suggest getting a metal JDM MR Diverter Valve instead of your Greddy. I was reading somewhere that they leak at high boost. I am running about 24psi on the MR DV and it holds fun. Also, if you put the stock intake back on you won't even hear the DV or the turbo "sucking" sound. I also think your car would run a lot better.
