what pipe with greddy ti?
i just ordered my greddy ti and want to get a downpipe/ cat delete, i am leading towards the rsr and the dc sports. which one is a better fit? i have done alot of seaching but just trying to get some good answers. also why will it void my warranty? Is the installation of a cat-back and down pipe hard??
its funny that you are asking about the dc sports downpipe. i just finished installing mine about a half hour ago. it took me about a hour and a half from start to finish (just downpipe) i have a hks hi-power 30th anniversary exhaust and it sounds perfect, not loud and annoying but noticable.but i am sure with a greddy ti its going to be louder. i highly reccomend it.
The installation is easy 2 bolts for the top of the dp, unbolt one of the lateral bars, and the rest is bolts connectin the exhaust. Yes, Mitsubishi will like to find anyway to screw you out of warranty (that is how they been saving money) a cat back by there terms will void your warranty. Some dealers car some don't. But, a dp is a definite no no. It raise the boost slightly, that in turn voids your warranty.
how much power difference would i have if i just get a cat delete and leave the stock dp? I have read its only like 4 hp.? i am trying to make up my mind by tomorrow afternoon so i can have it here by friday when my greddy ti comes in. I might just do a test pipe so it will be easy to interchange if i have to goto the dealer.
