Oh how everybody knows that feeling. Thats why we can never stop modding our cars even further! We get it going faster and faster and get used to in no time, its a vicious cycle I tell ya!

My wife and I work at the same place so we carpool in her lancer OZ Monday thru Friday. We take my car out on weekends so on Fri night I'm like "this thing is a beast", on Saturday I'm like "it's pretty quick", by Sunday it's the same old car. Once you get used to the power it doesn't feel nearly as fast but it still is just as fast. It's like crack on wheels- there's no good as hit as that first one.

thats what happens... my friend is bored with his 550hp supra, says it just doesnt feel that fast anymore... so i tell him ill drive it and remind him how fast it is!! haha.

you'll always get used to what you have just be careful, cause as you get faster it gets more dangerous!!

thats why i like slowly modding one thing to the next, every once in a while grabbin a couple extra HP... keep you entertained, always slightly gaining more power so you dont get bored!! until you reach some limits, then its time to get a new project!!

I get the Same Feeling with my MR2 Turbo, so what I did once was i accidently turned the boost down, i got a Electronic boost controler. I drove it like that for almost a week and a half before i went an retuned the controler, and i agin got the Speed rush. So you can just drive it at low boost for a while so you can realize how fast you have the car now ( if you got an electric controler that switches modes). But yeah thats a tuner thing that you only get a temporay realization of power, I call it a Speed rush, or the holy crap effect.

Yeah I have the same problem. Plus I still have my 400whp 300zx so whenever I drive it, it feels faster than the Evo by far.. this bugs me because I have been wanting an Evo for a long time and otherwise love the car.

But I'm getting a 20g-9 installed with Buschur stage 4, Xede, Comp 280+ cams and meth injection, etc..

Hopefully that will help.

Naw, the new IX feels pretty quick, but the Stage Two WRX seems positively moribund...

When I get in the Snake, everything else feels slow!

Just turn the boost down for a few days, when you turn it back up you'll be happy again without spending more money.

yea the first time i drove an Evo VIII last year on 10/19/2005 (yes a very important day that i memorized ), i was cussing everytime boost comes on.

now that i have my 9 for a month, the car still pulls hard, but not as much anymore. you just get used to it, nothing more. this is the reason why aftermarket supports are HUGE for our cars though

Anyways the first 2 weeks it was holy SHIIIIt this car is fast now its "ehhhh this pulls little" I don't think I lost any horsepower but I think it just me.

Does this happen to everyone? I thought somewhere around my power level I would be satisfied.
this is a sickness... it only gets worse the more power you make. i got a 35r kit and thought omfg this is the greatest thing on earth!!! well, that was last year, and here i am this year building a 2.3 40r kit...

I think driving a normal cars helps a lot. When my car feels slow I go drive around in my roommate's '03 Civic Si. It reminds me how awesome our cars are.

I'm having that build done at AMS as we speak and I'm still questioning myself if I should have gone with the 42r Loosing the AC is what made me choose the 37r.

I'm afraid that once I get used to the 37r I'm going to be like damm why didn't I listen to myself and go with the 42r. LOL.

Are we ever happy? I'm sure that set up will keep me happy for at least a year or so. JK Go for it.

I go from driving an 87 Toyota Pickup during the week to my Evo on the weekends. It's always a fun transition
