UPS is brutal with package handling but pretty good, in my limited experience, in taking care of claims. They will do whatever is cheaper for them, which will most likely be to have the trans repaired. Unfortunately, you will have to wait for it to be processed so hopefully it won't take long.
In my experience, FedEx is gentler on package handling.

So is shep just gonna reinspect the whole thing for any damage and then resend it out once it is done ? A new tranny would be the wrong route. I meani guess UPS could repay shep to re-do the work.... i mean he is the best, and should know if something is wrong. So i would image if it is on the UPS's dime, he has the time. You should call UPS and see if they are gonna front you the rental car ? I would ....

Actually Its been whining for the pass 5k Miles. Its not extrememly loud but it's def. noticeable. And when I give it more throttle it usually goes away, but only when I give it very little throttle in low RPMs.

You think he will be able to fix this problem? B/C I know the dealership won't do anything about it.

I was told the same thing about trying for a rental. I got another email from Shep saying he already ordered the housing, but it is out of stock in the US......................

So I would assume he will get them to pick it up and swap it out...

Dealer may if you are under warranty and have no mods but I doubt it.

I have faith in John, and he could fix it. But it sounds more like your Transfer case not TRanny. But if they are both going to be out if you have the small amount he charges for the rebuilds I would send both out.

Just keep in mind the price could change if he finds things broken in there.

Well im just trying to figure out if its just the usual whine all evos have or if its your Transfer case. It may be your transfer case but normally the whine gets louder when you accelerate or ont he highway.

*nesiop* if they give you a rental car BEAT THE **** OUT OF IT.....just like they did to your tranny ahaha.

LOL I work for a software engineering company that sells Medical software to Hospitals. I go out and train the sites nationwide and sometimes canada to train. I beat all the rentals then. Lol.

Yeah your whine sounds like it could even be the normal slow accel or slow down of the Evo whining.
