and cheaper....

And yeah they don't ask about parts they took off, as in to put back on or give. Like they did not return my injectors, downpipe, and my IC pipe I saw on the ground and said hey isn't that mind and they said oh whoops here, the rest is in the car. but it was missing my downpipe and injectors which I needed when I traded in my 03 Evo so it was traded in with 900ccs and I had to go buy a downpipe.

This is why I do all my work on my evo except when they had me buy als turbo they did that install, but hell I woulda done it in the parking lot if I brought my tools with me...

I don't know the details of this particular transaction and can't comment directly

What I can say is that I have been going to Pruven for 4 years now and they do very good work

We are taling basically about two top fabricators - Dan and Kenny who do most of the work and a helper John. These are all 3 hard working and dedicated guys who are very honest.

I have had hundreds of my customers have work done on evos there with virtually zero come backs and no complaints

There are always several sides to every story and it pains me to see that often the internet is used as a weapon for a frustrated customer to seek revenge for some items that remain unresolved

Reading the title of this thread "PRUVEN SCREWED ME" is a bit out of proportion for what has been done - even if everything you are saying is true

Your car seems to have had a trasnmission or transfer case problem which took several times removing and replacing the trans to finally resolve which can happen with drivetrain noises

Now you are missing your plastic under tray and wheel locks and some alarm part

I am sure that Pruven will address these matters with you, in fact feel free to call me directly anytime tomrorow or wed afternoon I will be at Pruven all day tuning

203-515-4110

Trust me when I tell you that Pruven does not "screw" anyone - they are hard working guys who do good work and put in long hours

Well put, I have already been through a situation like this, and talked with Dan about the internet weapon thing in the past, it is not a way to get something fixed, but it is good to let people know what there situation is like with a shop.
I have seen a lot of people say Pruven has not screwed people, or they do excellent work always etc etc. Because other stories get shot down or people call them liars etc. It is an opinion and this guy wasn't necessarily screwed but he should have been contacted on the price of parts, and I was not screwed on mine but my tune was junk after seeing how it was through logs after a few days and it was fixed.

I see where the guy is coming from and if they had to keep taking it apart to find the issue and it was the differential they should have noticed that already not several times and they act like he was hooked up for not being charged multiple times for the dissasembly.

They should not have taken the job if they couldn't figure out the issue but they did and the job is done, BUT like posted above it would have been about a grand cheaper to have it done sooner, and by a transmission specialist. The job was completed by Pruven though so that is the point shown so good job for them but they should have contacted the customer about additional parts not slapping on parts here and there and charging him for them when they did not need to be done. His job if he wrote the post correctly was to fix the issue which was the differential. Not hey fix this and rebuild all the things in it, cause if that was the case then Shep or TRE are your shops for that...

It is sometimes difficult to differentiate transmission and transfercase noises considering you usually have to drive it in order to hear it. It can happen.

^^^ theres more to it than that. It seems like some of the "work" they did can't be backed up on how professional and hard working they are. I'm not saying they are a bad company but seems like they shoulda just forwarded him to TRE or Shep who specialize in this kind of stuff instead of tryna figure it out on their own multiple times. As for the missing cover, screwed up wheel locks n messing with his stereo interface, and still not replacing his parts after TWO MONTHS, that is NOT professional and no excuse can cover that after what they promised

Very good point, I have taken both apart and still not seen the problem cauusing tc gear sto whine they were in perfect condition. And im ASE certified and been doing this stuff for years. Its not always as simple as open tranny, replace part, install tranny and problem fixed. The only way to get those results 99% of the time is a new tranny of a specialist, like tre or shep. Mechanics are humans too, there gonna make mistakes once in a while. But honestly for 2grand and now all you have is the lame undertray missing and a remote im sure you will get after this post, your doing good man.

I don't think the tray matters but the lugs and remote would matter, thats not caring. you can tell when it is a lock and that is just being a moron.

And they aren't doing good when you spend 2k for a tranny rebuild you did not ask for, and if you wanted it it will cost between 800-1200 for it, done by a professional.

He does not own Pruven, he just works out of the place at times, ie sits behind the desk browsing forums, making calls, using the dyno to tune, runs dyno days, brings in customers for sales...

This thread is locked until Pruven has an opportunity to respond. There is nothing else for anyone to add at this time. Once in a while, a dissatisfied customer will leverage Evom's large readership against a vendor. The vendor is at a distinct disadvantage as there are always two sides to a story. And the reason this rule was created:

No bashing vendors, shops, or other websites without just cause. evolutionm.net reserves the right to determine when just cause has been proven, so all complaints should be sent to our staff for evaluation. If you don't like it and haven't talked to our staff about it, don't post.

All of the site rules can be read here at your leisure.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/announcement.php?f=20

I'll reopen if Pruven wants to respond.
