i'm curious to know what happened. if they were going straight then they would've had to swurve to lose control. if they were going around a bend then that was their own fault.

either way it seems like if they were doing speed limit they would be here today. part of me feels like the gene pool is that much better.

I believe this was probably just a case of speeding and losing control. I would define a Street Race as involving at least 2 cars "racing" each other. This looks like someone just went off of the road and kissed a tree.

What I want to know is how did you lose control in a very stable all wheel drive vehicle. You must have been doing crazy amounts of speed on a very twisty road.

My prayers go out to the families.

One little bump in the road and an inexperienced driver could have been the main factors.

Its real sad to see these things. But it makes you realize how dangerous it is to go so fast on the streets.

Ok soooo where does it state that the EVO was street racing?

Someone going fast and crashing isnt street racing btw.

You should never be barrelling down a road that fast with trees on either side, thats just not safe no matter what.

Street racing in a straight line with no other traffic is safer than racing down a twisty road with trees by yourself. If you F up in a straight line... woah

That's old and a repost. I started a thread about that right after it happened. It was not too far from where I live.

Still sad though.

That's what I was thinking. I didn't read anywhere as to making you assume it was street racing. You know how it is...it's easy to just press the gas a bit more in a an Evo, even riding out by yourself!

That's tragic though.
