I have a guy here at work looking for an Evo and i said i may let it go for 27500, and hes interested.. Im still undecided, i dont know what to do
I like the hood to much, i dont wana take it off, but i will sell it if i sell the car or sell the car with it
I didnt get tickets for speeding, i got 2 tickets for my exhaust.
Been there done that, but i do admit the car got less attention w/o the wing.

Don't act stupid if you get provoked.
Keep the Evo.

i have two resonators welded in my intermediate pipe... rear part painted black.. low profile "oz" wing... and i've never been hassled. the cops around my area are probably the worst in california, we have dragnet just like in san deigo and rolling bar etc... i've yet to be pulled over... i don't drive like an idiot but i don't drive like a grandpa either... i vote for wingless and loose the cf... you'll be surprised at the lack of attention... quiet down the exhaust if ur running catless and you'll be fine.

The tickets i have gotten again are NOT due to speeding or any traffic offenses. Ive just been getting more than unwanted attention even thou i like it most of the time, but its getting me in trouble. If i dont remove the wing or cf hood, i will most likely end up selling the car... I have an accident settlement pending at this moment and will use some of it to get a different car, who knows which one
I totally understand where you're coming from...you sometimes think whether all the time and money you put into the car is really worth it - because it just sucks you in.
When you get tickets or stuff breaks, etc, it really sucks but the fun you have out cruising, racing, etc, is incomparable.
It's really your call...I'm sure at some point all of us will "mature" to the point where such a car/lifestyle doesn't seem appealing anymore.

Here is my two cents: your going to sell the evo and buy one of the cars you suggested and in a month your going to kick your self for ever getting rid of the evo. I have a job that requires travel up to 1500 miles a week. My company allows me to rent cars to avoid using mine and so the evo sits sometimes the whole week. All I can say is I get hooked up on my rentals, cadillac CTS, G35, Audi, and a few other pretty nice luxury cars. Nothing compares to the Evo. Out of the cars you mentioned a G35 awd is probably the closest for good looks, handling, and of course awd. I had one rented for a full week, and yeah, it was pretty nice to drive long distances with. The thing is when the weekend came and I drove the Evo again....you just can't imagine the feeling of our cars compared to anything else.
Again, my thoughts are your going to sell this car and regret it big time. Btw, you can still buy a house, have a family, and keep the evo. Just stop dropping money in mods until you pay it off. Than you can use the money that you used for a car payment to go crazy with mods.

Thanks for all the support guys.. Weird thing is that most of the time i wana keep it but sometimes i hate the car and cannot stand it as weird as it may sound.. Sometimes i see those really nice g35s with suspension and wheels and id be happy with that..
It makes sense to part the evo for a house but not for another car like z350 or g35 just because of attention. Actually I think a decently modded g35 or z350 is alot more attractive than our evo.
May be it's your driving pattern that is giving you unwanted attention. It's 13 years for me now since I got the driver license and the only ticket I've got was speeding in my old camry on an empty highway. I most of the time drive a little faster than the traffic but always signal on lane-change -- this has saved my rear couple times already. Sometimes I "accidentally" pass cop at around 10-15 mph above speed limit and not a problem. It's just when you realize that, slow down a bit to show your "respect" of their present. Need to look around a little more -- it's a safe practice anyway even you're not racing.
Personally I think the Evo's wing is one of the most beautiful feature in the car -- I would never take that off. May be it's also where you live. The evo here doesn't get a second look, except from guys/gals who know car; most are nice anyway if you're nice to them first -- give a nod.
On the other hand, if you're simply looking for an excuse to get try another car, go for it. You can always go back for the evo X.

Sell it and get an ix- If this guy is willing to give you 27.5k
You will miss the evo no matter what you get..
you will attract just as much attention if not more with the other cars you may get..
