may have a hard decision ahead of me

Well, as much as i hate to say this, im thinking about selling the Evo and getting another car.. Over the last 2 weeks i have gotten 3 tickets for stupid ****... Seems this car gets and brings too much attention everywhere. As much as i love my car, at the same time i sometimes dont want it anymore. I guess im getting to that age that im finally getting bored with the modding and drag racing etc.. My pops is able to get really good deals on any car that i want so getting another car wont be an issue. I will either put it up for sale or with my pops connections they can take it in for trade.I want a nice daily driver like a bmw, audi, 350z, g35 or benz.

This is not 100% sure but most likely i will and start parting it out soon... I wana get my own house some time and have a family.. It seems that working on this car is taking all my time and i constantly see myself in the same thing and it deprives me from doing other things. I guess i got so much into the car that i pretty much dont pay attention to anything else.. I hope all you guys can understand me and i know there are some of you out there in my same position wanting to do the same thing.. Maybe in the future i can get an Evo X or something, who knows...

If the stupid **** that you're getting ticketed for includes speeding and other controllable things, just don't speed. I know that it's easier said than done, but I would force myself to drive the speed limit, make complete stops, etc. if it meant being able to keep the car I love. Now if you're getting tickets for your stock spoiler being too big, your stock brake calipers being too red, and your intercooler having too many bugs stuck in it then yeah, I'd sell the thing.

I feel the same way. I haven't gotten any tickets or really any negative attention from cops but its dumb kids that **** me off. Tonight for example Im leaving work which is in the middle of nowhere by the way and I see a car parked somewhere that looked completly out of place. As soon as I go by the start to follow me. It was two kids in a mazda 6 and they were acting extremly weird and kept trying to race me at every light or something. Its not that big of a deal but I know that stuff wouldn't have happend if I drove something else. Its just all starting to get very old.

Talking

I feel the exact same way! I even get people in old lifted trucks trying to race me, it does get old. I do get unwanted attention. Cops tend to follow me around for no apparent reason.

yeah for a while there w/ the LY evo was getting really negative attention from it - from cops/ pos lead pedal pushers didn't even matter if they were ricers or not - got the whole spectrum of wannabe cannonball runners...take off the wing and stay low profile and keep it clean w/o getting sticking out too much...

Bro, you went through the same thing when you had the red 03', then all of a sudden you showed up with this sweet 05'! It is a tough decision though. However, if you do decide to part it...I want dibs on the front lip!

Good luck with the decision.

Dont sell the Evo you will regret it as soon as you sell it, and then you will have to start all over, just get a little beater to drive around town. And drive the Evo on weekends.

wait for the turboed 3 series!! or get a daily driver and keep it for the weekends.

I was also in somewhat the same predicament a short while ago of thinking of selling/trading. Haven't gotten any tickets nor pulled over yet but those POS haters, wannabe drag racers just won't leave us alone sometimes that you just get tired of all these negative attentions.

Take your wing off. You'll prolly get way less attention.

Drive another car for a couple weeks. See if you miss the performance envelope of the Evo enough so you can't live without it. If you do, you've got your answer. If you don't miss the Evo, sell it, since you'll be satisfied with something else. People move in and out of their interests in life. If you sell it first, and then learn you can't live without it, you'll have to buy another one, and that's an expensive way to find out.
