Backseat removal and weight reduction...
Hey, i need to lose weight of my car... basically without replacing parts with lighter ones, what can i remove for weight reduction? The first thing is, how do i remove the backseats? i know there is the extra tire, and the tools (i think jack also) but what else can be taken off?
Does anyone know how much time i can shave off on a stock Evo this way?
Thanks so much,
Jason B

Your backseat is nothing but foam wrapped with fabric. If you want to remove the rear seat, find the two latches placed between the floor carpet and the seat and pull out while lifting the seat. The tire and jack will net you about 30lbs.

There is alot of metal structure in there, not just foam.
