mr gauge replacement

Since I have a boost gausge I would like to get rid of the factory boost gauge and replace it with an oil pressure gauge. What is the size of the factory gauges and does anyone know of a near close replacement (look) to replace the boost gauge?

They are not a standard size I think they measure 40+. I dont think that any common companys make one in that size. GL.

Dammit, not the answer I was hoping for but oh well. I can't find any gauges under 52mm and I know the MR's are well under. Any help would be much appreciated.

I dont have that gauge panel but mabey you can open the hole up enough to house a 52mm gauge. Other people have searched everywhere for a gauge to fit but I havent seen one yet.

I believe they are 42 or 43mm. Omori makes a 45mm which is the closest you will find. Search on the site and you will find someone that already swapped out the factory boost gauge for an Omori unit which is what i plan to do as well.

Looks pretty close to factory.

Well, supposedly the same company that makes the WRX boost gauge makes the gauges for the MR. Omori makes a direct replacement for the WRX gauge, which is 45MM. Therefore, I am guessing that omori gauges fit in the sports meter kit.

I contacted them and they could not give me a definate answer about this.

Furthermore, the MR2 stock boost gauge in the Instrument Gauge Cluster is a 42MM gauge and many MR2 owners replace it with the Omori gauges.

Now I am not entirely sure if those gauges are custom made from omori, but they told me they have the smallest gauges in the world at 45mm...

On ebay, gruppe-s, and rallysportdirect, these gauges are quite pricey and rare. The boost gauges seem common, but I have not seen much of the other 45mm gauges. Anyone have a source for these?

Grind out the hole to 52mm and pop in your favorite gauge. Works like a charm.
