Boost Gauge ??

Boost Gauge ??

ok guys i got an evo 9 with just a intake...basically the cone and adapter installed the stewart warner gauge today...And top boost in 3rd gear is about 15-16 and goes down...normal is there something off? or wrong

Boost is low, but if I were you, I'd put back the stock intake and see if that changes anything.

also the weather is about 70 in nj...I mean i got a boost controller is it alright to raise up the boost to 19? i have it but not installed...Other mods i have (not installed tho) are ams exhaust, test pipe, downpipe...Walbro fuel pump and boost controller(forge) im assuming once i get a tune everything will be running fine? sorry for the numerous posts just never had a evo before used to srt4

just talked to pruven they said stock boost is about 17 and falls to 15-14 so its normal

Guess mine was a freak considering it was boosting 19lbs bone stock, I'd seriously reconsidering putting back the stock intake until you get a tune for that cone style intake.
