Rally Red Paint is Turning pink

Seriously im kinda unhappy with my paint... Mitsu replaced my Mirrors becasue they faded pink (like badly pink)

and now my whole car is oxidized to hell (except my replacement trunk, jdm IX rear bumper and Monster front bumper, all of which have a clear coat)

So my question is, should i try to claim it under warranty... or not

I have previously attempted to but the service advisor shot me down before ti got to the manager.

He blames my sprinkler system, but i find it hard to believe that a car will turn pink after 1.5 years of ownership

My DADS honda accord being a 2000 has only been washed 3 times... and its still in perfect paint condition (just needed a detail)

Anyone else have the same problems?

My door handles and mirrors have faded and look lighther than the rest of the car as well, but I have not tried to get them replaced yet. I'll wait and see if they get worse.

****ty paint + terrible choice in color= a pink car.

All red cars seem to turn pink after a few years unless they have a clearcoat. And with a clear coat they still fade, just that the clear coat has a UV protectant.

Doubt the dealer will cover it, but go for it if they will. I would pay to add a clearcoat if you are going to the trouble though.

yea, i agree with you guys, but im not looking to cry on someone's shoulder... im more looking for someone who has the same or similar problem and has actually successfully had a claim go through

Or the method of attack the dealership would need for me to get a chance w/ a rep

wax is your friend... a good thing to do when you wax your car is to clay bar it at the same time so it strips all the old wax off. When you wash your car you want to make sure and use a ph7 car wash so it doesnt strip your wax and if its in the sun alot like florida use a wax with uv protection. check out some of the products from four star...
