Sparco Harnesses. Anyone own these? Impressions?

Hey fellas. I'm going to be buying some sparco harnesses through my work and wanted to know if anyone owns them and what they think of them. My evo is using the stock SSL recaro seats.

Thanks.

These are the better of the two with a superior retention system.

And the more budget oriented ones:

I think i'm going to go for the first ones i posted since they look to be more solid. What do you guys think about both and is there something else from sparco that you would recommend instead. I'm sticking with sparco because i can get them at cost.

Umm... obviously buddy. Thats why i'm opting for the first ones. I simply wanted opinions of people who have actual experience with either of these harnesses. Not the peanut gallery.

I've always like 3" belts myself.
I was looking for 3" harnesses but haven't found any complete 3" sparco setups. Perhaps i was not looking in the right spot.

You have a link to a full lap and shoulder 4 point 3" setup from sparco. If so, i'll order them today.

Ahh...these! The pieces come separate but all work together. Then with the proper mounting bolt in kit or snap in kit, they'll work just fine. Looks like the setup retails for around $250. Not bad for the quality the stuff is.

Yeah. I just had a talk with my manager about harnesses and he said to go 3" or not get them at all. He is a NASA driving instructor.

Glad to hear you are going to go with the 3" belts. They are more stout and I think more comfortable. We have 3" Simpson harnesses in our old '69 911 and I like them a lot. Get some harness pads too as they'll keep the edges of the belts from rubbing you raw on the neck.

Good call. I'll get some pads as well.

... i'm just itching to run down by where you live and hit up the road that goes between Cook's Corner and all the way to Santa Margarita Pkwy.

Takata's can be found pretty easily for around $350 and under. And what's wrong with green Japanese?

nothing is wrong with it, I like they way they look a lot...but I couldn't justify paying all the money for them. Its pointless to me.

Then again...my car is no show car.
