JDM IX is probably a little more than usdm but it also requires the removal of the crash bar....which is why I would rather live without it

Yes, without the rear crash bar you would have been looking for more than a new rear bumper.

no, i own a jdm 9 rear and there is a way of modifying it to work . oem and jdm i would think are about the same price but, if you want the jdm look go for it. just take it to a skilled body shop guy and he could modify your existing crash beam and it will work.

mind taking your 9 rear off later and showing us how they modified it? i've always wanted a jdm 9 rear but the idea of no crash bar in the back has always dettered me from it. if you get in a wreck and don't have the rear crash bar, i hear your insurance company will be pretty furious with you.

well, picture in your mind the crash beam with the 2 bars behind it holding it a certain way. my body shop got basically trimed down those 2 pieces behind the crash bar and it was a perfect fit. so just to say if it were to get rear ended the bar is still there.

I would like to see this as well, since from my experience with body shops "modifying it" probably means he cut 90% of it off.
