you might have to break them in, and then after a few good miles warm them up with some consecutive hard stops. I thought my teg stopped better too for a while. Now I can hardly keep my lunch down when the thing stops full on. Its unreal.

This is soo true, I heard that from a lot of people also. Enjoy your evo, I bought my used also and had a few problems but they all were fixed under warranty but hopefully yours won't have any problems.

congrats on your evo. New doesn't guarantee anything either, I just brought a new 2006 EB IX SSL for 33,700. while breaking it in I started to smell gas around 434 miles. I checked under the hood and found the fuel rail is leaking gas. Brand new. But still I would never buy a used Evo. Whose knows how bad the person before you beat on that car. that's just me enjoy!

Just tell the Evo haters to meet you at the track!! I drove the Audi S4 then the STI but I was sold on the Evo. I have no regrets!!

overall i just want to know what most of you guys think?? did i get a good deal or not??
Congrats on the new whip first off. I got my 03' TB Evo in January with 10K miles for $23K w/intake, cat back exhaust, and boost gauge. Yes, still runs lovely til this day with 16K miles on it.

Anyway, your price seems decent being that it's from a dealer. Mine was from a buddy of mine that works in an auction. Does the HKS BOV recirculate or is it vented into the air? The springs being orange can be Tanabe's which are nice with a stiff spring rate which is good for stock shocks. Give the brakes some time to break in if they're new, might feel better later. Not sure why it would need new calipers though! Did you get some type of warrantee with the car? And if you feel it needs an alignment, get one for sure.
Good luck with it.

Any pics?

I just paid 20000 even for my car, bone stock with 44,000 miles, the best part is that it was driven by a 39 year old woman, i test drove the car and it had a child seat in the back. Good luck and i hope your car turns out alright.

I got my '03 in December of 2003 with 1800 miles on it for under $25,500 - stock. Hope you figure out what you have on that car from the previous owner. I'm glad I got to start from scratch, but it sounds like you'll enjoy the Evo either way.
