I wouldn even bother asking but i noticed this black oily/gue underneath the entire car with the execption of the exhaust its on the drivetrain and just underneath the whole car period. One of my buddies who works on cars for a living though it was something i needed to ask about cause he didnt know if it was something that had been leaking or something else. Just wondering if anyone else noticed a black tarish stuff under the car.

Dont worry. Your car is not leaking anything.

You just gotta be careful not to get that crap on yourself while you're working underneath the car.
It's a pain in the *** to clean it off your clothes or skin.

Got that crap on my arm the other day and I almost scrubbed my skin off trying to wash it off.

 

i hear you i had that crap in my hair and on my arms after i put my exhaust on LOL. I just didnt know if it was something that got on there, thanks for the 1up

 

haha, no kidding. i was using rubbing alcohol and all kinds of other stuff to get that gunk off.

i finally got smart and bought some GoJo orange and pumice hand cleaner. that stuff eats grease right up.

 

get that Orange crap that's really rough and sandy. That stuff will get anything off. lol. The black tar crap is there to keep the underbody of your car from rusting, etc. Most cars have it, I just dont understand why the Evo's coating does'nt dry and harden. It just stays semi-liquid and nasty. I got that crap on my forehead and it took forever to get out with regular soap.

 

yeah its covering the rear case completely look like its hanging off of the car in some spots too lol. they did a slopy job of spraying that gunk on my car.

 

probably on there to prevent roatting and take some of the impact of things hitting the bottom of the car...
