Around here (northern VA area), they used to have red-light cameras, but I don't think they ever had speed cameras. Plus, my wife read that in VA, the red-light camera program was not making enough money so they had to shut it down.

Question though: How did you know you had to flip the plate at that time? Or do you just look out for the cameras, and then flip the plate up for a few seconds every time you see one?

Either way, good for you. How awesome must it feel to know that your investment has already paid for itself?!?!?

 

In the city I pretty much know where almost every camera is located at and that night I was chasing a Audi RS4... he didnt know there was a camera and got his plates snapped...for me i knew and kept my foot on the pedal LOL. Its funny the second the flash went off he slammed his brakes but it was too late...its just an instant reaction you get when the big *** flash goes off behind you..kinda like a lighting. But usually when I go at it with another car and not familiar with the area I just leave it flipped up until I slow down.. at the speeds I run cops dont have a chance following me to see if my plates are up or not

...its true that the camera does go off if you speed above 10mph
