Anyone know what earlier Evo's ran in the 1/4 mile STOCK?

I am curious what Evo II and III's ran in the 1/4 mile bone stock? I know they were lighter, but had less motor.

I am specifically trying to compare them to the Evo IX MR.

I know the IX's have run as much as a 13.3 bone stock.

Anyone do better with a IX? Again, bone stock!!!!

Thanks!

IX have run as much as 13.3? Come on, you're way behind the times. 03-04 Evos ran 13.3s. IXs run high 12s. Best I've seen yet is 12.8, but they are definitey capable of 12.7 in the right conditions with a great driver. 13.3 is nothing - I ran 13.1 in my 05, and plenty others beat that in 05s while a few also beat it in 03-04s.

I know nothing about the older ones, but I just wanted to bring you up to speed on what the IX is really capable of...

You could probably dig around lancerregister.com. Those guys have a lot of the older Evos.

OK, here is why: Someone called the Evo IX MR a slow turdfor running 13.3 stock and I felt otherwise. This came from an Evo III owner, so I wanted to share what the IX is capable of compared to the II or III.

NO reason to care what he says. The IX times are all over the Drag Racing forums running high-11s and low-12s with basic bolt-ons and as good as 12.8-12.9 in bone stock form. Who gave you the idea that Evos ran 13.3s? Do you rely on magazines or do you actually take the time to look in the Drag Racing forum to see what real Evo owners do?

Thank, but somehow I feel you could have communicated that much more politely.

I get that way when people have no idea what they spent their 35k on and make a thread (or get in an argument) without first looking at the available data in the respective forum (e.g. Drag Racing forum).

Ok, I don't care - I was just curious what the II's and III's did in their times - Is that crime? He mentioned that he pulled a 13.3 out of one he drove at the track. So, I know it did atleast that and that is why I asked if anyone do better!!!!

Dont worry, of course the guy wont say the IX is better than his car....but it clearly is, the IX will most likely overpower the II and III's....

Look at the Eclipses....Each gen was better than the next as far is 1/4 miles times are concerned. Evo is probably roughly the same thing, its just part of the evolution

OK, My main question was what Evo II and III's ran, this I didnt find when I searched!

I quoted the time he said he ran and asked if anyone has done better, this I could have looked for and I did. For that I apologize.

You need not have replied at all. Instead you choose to be a braggart and do what you normally do on these forums. You may be a wealth of knowledge, but your attitude is less than forthcoming. I choose to no longer entertain your argumentative nature. Mods can lock or delete this thread if they think so.

??? Nothing wrong with wondering what IIs and IIIs run - I obviously wasn't talking about that. I'm talking about thinking that IXs run 13.3s for some strange reason. You said "he" mentioned a 13.3, but doesn't that guy have a III? You said you knew IXs ran 13.3s, but now you're saying it was the III owner who ran the 13.3. The story is now discombobulated, but to sum it all up...if he ran a 13.3, then your IX is probably a good bit faster, but there's no guarantee that YOU will in fact run a 13.3 or better. It's likely to be the opposite if you aren't an experienced drag racer...

When was I a braggart? I said I ran a 13.1 and that many did BETTER, even some 03-04 owners. That's not bragging - that's letting you know how weak a 13.3 is for a IX. In your first post, you never quoted the time the guy said HE ran - you said that's what IXs run (not sure why). Get all pissy if you want, but you just admitted that you could have found this answer yourself and then eventually did, so you agree with my response.

Again, I didnt take offense and start waging a jihad against the guy. I was curious what II and III's ran. They are lighter and that made them quicker than the average car with a 4g63 and small 16G like a gvr4...I did a search and couldnt find the info. I decided to post since there are quite a few foreign Evo owners and some Evo freaks who are a wealth of knowledge!
