Care & Feeding for your Evo

sent me a flyer in the mail today on maintenance and I was suprised to read a section suggesting a cool down period for the turbo. I don't recall anything in the manual of either my 03, 04, or my 06 stating this and I even recall reading something about the design of these turbos not needing it. I always have a cool down period when I'm driving, off boost before I park. I never idle my car though...

I think that's probably just about as effective as using a turbo timer...I do both

Yes it was dealer recommended since day 1. Just dont boost the crap out of it before you shut it off. I have a TT built into my alarm. Just makes it easier.

I just sit in mine for about 30 seconds letting it cool down. I once had a mr2 with a turbo timer and while I was away the e-brake failed and the car rolled down a hill into a tree :/

I usually dont boost before I exit. I am stopped at the two lights before my house. When I get to my house, I turn the car off after I have everything in my pockets.

If not is there some kind of evo specific model? How was the install?
Thanks.
