Angry mitsu dealer wont fix my car.

well this is what happen,i drop my car off last saturday the issue was brake's pulsate at highway speed's,previously my car was there for the same concern and they replace the front rotor's the vibration went away but after two week's the concern came back,i get a phone call today from the service manager and he informs me that mitsubishi did me a favor on replacing my front rotors the first time and they will not cover any repairs at this time because brakes are a wear and tear item, the thing is my car has not even 9000 miles, anyways after arguing with the service manager i call mitsubishi of north america i explain the situation to the lady she gave me a case number and also she said that she was going to contact the dealer and the zone rep to try to work this thing up.

i paid alot of money for this car i dont think i should paid for any repairs the brake pad's are brand new so it's the rotor's,why mitsubishi like to give people a hard time i think this is bullcrap and im not happy at all with this issue, they have to face the fact that new doesn't always mean good i might had a bad set of rotor's my opinion i think they are warp, this is bull$hit the car still brand new.

any toughs or suggestions are welcome im just agravated with this whole situation.

I have a question for you.

Did you properly bed the pads/rotors after it was replaced?
Improper bed-in process is one of the major source of steering pulsating while braking at med to high speeds.

You might wanna try to re-bed the pads/rotors if you havent done it yet.

There is a very good "how to ".

Good luck.

You will find this is a common problem caused by the factory pads transfering material to the rotors which, makes them feel warped. There are a few threads about it.

A couple of good hard stops getting some heat in the rotors followed by normal driving and letting thme cool will make it go away for a while until it builds back up.

A good set of aftermarket pads will cure the issue as well.

If they "Over torqued" your lug nuts (just used air gun to tighten) it is very possible that they could have "damaged" your rotors or caused them to "warp" from uneven tightening
of lug nuts,or could have not cleaned the hub of all debris/rust and same result will happen.
Did they replace all 4 rotors or only front 2?

Also that there is a good chance that rear rotors are "warped"as well. Did they check rears as well or just fronts?

they would break the bolts before warping the rotor... its damn near impossible to warp a rotor at room temp... now if you had just got done running a leg from the wrc and then use 300 ft lbs, it could be possible...

replace the pads, have the rotors non-directional finished, and then repeat break in and enjoy!

Angry

they said they check the whole brake system just to make sure there's no caliper's hanging up and causing the concern, im going to see how far this is going to go brake's are a safety issue they better fix it if they dont im going to have to take some legal action the steering wheel shakes really bad so is the brake pedal when they are applied.

Mitsubishi America can't make a dealership honor your warranty.... just food for thought!! They can ask them nicely, but that's it. The dealership makes the call regardless if Mitsu of America says it's covered.
