Here's the deal, a friend bought an EVO V RS last week, we want to order some parts, but were not sure if it's the same engine. I want to order camshafts and a set of lifters, but i'm not sure if they will fit.
Does any of you guys know somehing about this???

the parts will work from an 8, the only thing different is something with the water pump/outlet....cant remember exactly what but cams and lifters will work

It wont work on EVO V, the Evo 4 to 6 have the same cams which are solid and from 7 and 8 have hollow cams the diameter is different. But i have cams for sale which will fit in Evo 4 to 6. The brand name is tomie and are 260s, .

 

evo8 cams would fit on evo 5/6s with minor modifications. We have done quite a few here in Thailand.

 

The aftermarket cams for the 8 WILL fit the 5. Will slot straight in, but you will need to change the bolt going thru to the cam angle sensor. It doesnt matter that the stock cams are different between the models!!!

 

why buy the parts of an 8 when u can get aftermarket parts for a 5 from jun, hks or tomei???

 

Weren't that a EVO 4-8.5 engine is same except 9(Mivec and better knock restictane)???

 

well finally, they will fit, unless for the cam sensor bolt, isn't it???

BTW, i cant find any web page to buy parts from tomei.
