Buschur air filter BROKE!

I was driving around and heard a loud pop/thud in my engine. I looked under the hood and saw the air filter sitting on my engine not attached. It came loose just under the flter. It looked like it was glued. It's pretty hot here, so it made sense to me if thats why it came loose. I superglued it back, and it seems to be holding up.

Am I going to have any problems from this? Does anybody know if there was a seal between the filter and metal sheet that holds it. The part I glued was a clear, flat, plastic ring. Thanks for the help.

Not sure exactly which part separated in your description. Either way I think it's fine. If it holds up then it's doing it job, all it does is filter the air, so as long as there are no big holes that dust and stuff can come through, you're all set.

I've never heard of a filter falling apart before.. some have fallen off if you forget to screw it on :P

Buschur has some of the best customer service on the sales side of things in the performance arena... give them a call and they will probably have you return yours and send you a new one depending on how long you have had it.... It is worth a shot.
