Question about the B&M Shoft shifter 45% reduction

Does anyone run the 45% reduction and if so, how does it feel compared to the stock shifter and is it much harder to gate the gears in or the same.

makes it 45% hard to shift because of the reduction of leverage. A very heavy shift knob will help a lot.

I have the b & m adjustable set to 45% and it does make the shifting harder. The benefit is that it feels more precise. I did notice that after putting in the underhood bushings, the shifting became smoother but still definitely harder than stock. If you decide to get the shifter- get the underhood bushings. The stock rubber ones will make shifting extremely hard.

Second gear (5 speed evo here) was always harder for me with the stock shifter. Its better with the B&M. Also, as the transmission warms up, it gets smoother.

this also helps. I have the greddy knob and it feels even better.

I have the 45% set up in my car with the brass underhood bushings. I LOVE it! I didn't truly appreciate the goodness though until I got a heavy shift knob. I went with the Razo 340 gram, but I hear good things about the Greddy counter weight.

I had Sai_Kou Michi's heavy weight knob on my short shifter on my evo8. It was perfect!
