tein hood damper's

ok where can i get them.

do you have them? if so
how do they fit?
how are they holding up?
any problems?
do you have them on a CARBON FIBER HOOD
any prblems to the hood. im told there not good for c/f hood's.

My eyes hurt.

They are not the greatest for carbon hoods, you must be very careful when opening your hood if you have a carbon one as they will sort of just fling up and quite possibly crack the hood. They hold up well, and never had a problem with them when i had my S2000.

on are evo's the c/f hood is no liter then the stock. well the seibon is not. but people say they stress the hood and crack it. how i dont know. but does it happen up or down i dont no eather.

you CAN use them w/carbon fiber hoods. The brackets don't hook up to the hood itself, but to the steel hinges instead.

i saw that nd cound not think y a rumor is going around that there bad for c/f hoods. hum. ok now i just got to find a set

i've seen a handful of evo's running them w/cf hoods.

l had them on my cf seibon hood too, but unfortunatley i broke the end of the damper itself lol.. my mistake tho.

im going to pic them up as soon as i find a vendor that has them. thanks alot

Back to the original question...who sells them? I've yet to see a vendor here that sells them.

no vendor sells them because they dont make them for an evo. You gotta buy a set for another car and modify the brackets to fit.

i did a seach and found they make them. maby i miss read the thread but this is y i made this thread cause i needed to know what i asked. i will ask around be4 i get sti one's and mod them. i saw they say it was not hard at all.

Rumor has it that TEIN is "working" on a set for the Evo, but its been over a year and a half, and still nothing.

yea i saw a thread that said 3 to 4 weeks. that was a looooooooooooooooong time ago. maby they some how miss typed 4 weeks for 4 years. i dont know. well i gess il hunt down the sti ones. was it hard to mod or easy as making a pb&j sandwitch? witch i think i am going to make right now. brb

o btw i installed my hood shield that was on the stock hood to the c/f hood. hope that helps a lil bit.
