Wait, they covered your gear syncros in all those gears, what is done to your car, did they ever give you any problems about it, my clutch is about to go, but my 4th gear hesatates in the gate, and shifting hard into it it always grinds, although a firm shift will put you right through the grind without actually stopping the shift, cant be healthy though.

I had an bad 2nd and 5th gear grind at 15k and the dealer wouldnt cover it so i just said ok and got a shep trans. For the money you cant beat the shep imo.

I know the Ingalls Stiffy has relieved some of the stress on the driveline for some people who have bought it. I figure I will try that first before I go taking parts off my car just so my dealer will look at the issue. I saw www.corsport.com has them is there anyother options you might have before I go with an aftermarket tranny.

i've had the problem most here describe... 4th to 5th gear shift at high rpms under heavy load caused massive grinding after 20k miles. i put in syncromesh fluid and the problem has completely gone away... i'm at 29k miles now.

+1 for everybody. I had my 5th gear grind at 6K miles. Fixed the problem but it does still grind
when I speed shift into 5th. I'm just gonna roll with it until it lets go so I can upgrade to a TRE or Shep Trans.
