The sticker is 5 bucks at lancershop.com and its a good investment especially in CA... they also have a "at 172 mph all windows must go up " kinda sticker....its pretty funny....

good idea about this sticker...but we r assuming: 1. tow truck man will read our stickers and 2. tow truck man can read.

i have always encountered less than adequate ones. except for the AAA ones.

My friend that works a mitsu dealer gave me a free transfer case from a acd that was burned up from a evo that was towed on 2 wheels lol...yeah its a good idea to put a awd sticker on your car. The tow truck drivers are the brightest bunch and from what im told they get more $ for a awd or 4 wheel drive car.

soo i seen a evo being towed withouth a flatbed and people where telling him its awd and the guy said i dont care this guy can pay for it after he pays me. Supposedly if you are towed from an unauthorized location they are not responsible for damage done to your car.

One of the many reasons im moving back to TX soon. Way overrated out here. 93 octane and front window tint await me in a month. Ive lived in the gay bay and socal for 2 years. You have to valet your car or walk a mile to do anything cool.

because you can never be too careful. i don't plan on parking my evo anywhere where it would be towed either.

but a 3 dollar sticker is well worth it to save a multiple thousand dollar drivetrain. you just never know.

and yes, i put mine right under the vin number in the windshield.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't just having your e-brake engaged protect it? I thought it disabled the awd?

Where do you live? I deal with the same B.S. all the time. The townhouses I live in don't have driveways so whenever I'm bringing the groceries in or whatever and the other car is parked in the garage I have to leave the car on, the hazards on and open the doors and trunk so they won't tow my damn car. My wife learned the hard way with the Jetta, twice.

One time I went off on the guy because the car was half way in the garage when he towed it... He said I was still blocking the garage... it's MY garage and MY car!!!! AHHHH!!!!

If you always park legally, then you won't have to worry about being towed. Never assume anyone knows the EVO is AWD.

^x2 But seriously, you can take out your 3rd brake light and put it on its base facing the rear window.
