is the dealer playing me?

about a week ago i hit a turn going too fast and the car slid and hit the curb on the left side. the two left wheels cracked. the tires were still inflated and the rack and pinion broke. i went to the dealer today to get stuff out of my car and a guy said he needed to talk to me. he said that looking at how i cracked the rims, the car will never drive the same again. he said after a month the car will begin to vibrate. he kept saying it will never drive again. he then said to get the insuracne to replace the whole car. or trade in my evo 8 for a new evo. is he telling the truth or is he just trying to make money.

Some cars will never be the same again.
It depends on the extent of the damage.

I would look elsewhere, H.B. Mitsubishi or SouthCoast.

I'd get an INDEPENDENT opinion on that one before believing someone who could benefit financially from you getting scared by this guy with the crystal ball, trading in the Evo to this same dealership when the insurance co. won't total it, and then being able to make money on both a new car AND a nice used Evo that only needed some minor work.

Yeah, I'm paranoid but you know, most of them really ARE out to get you.

If he wants you to trade it in, he is scamming you. He will convince you that your car is only worth $10,000 and sell you a new EVO at full price PLUS the remainder of your payoff on the old EVO. Then he will do $2,000 in repair work to your old EVO and sell it to somone else for full "used" price (damn near full price for a new EVO).

Last dealership I worked at everyone was on crack, embezzling money or a multiple felon who could only work in car sales. The industry is a natural fit for these kinds of people they are sadists and sociopaths. Just ignore this guy and get a 2nd independent opinion.

As long as the frame is ok, the suspension and rims ect can always be ok. your car should be fine.
