Thumbs up Hid Problem

I have a 03 evo with 35000 miles on it and recently the hid lights started to move up and down randomly. It only does it to me when the headlight level switch is on 0.

If anyone has any iformation that could help figure out the problem, please let me know.

Thanks
TRevor

Best guess would be the switch, if you know someone else with a leveling switch borrow it for a few minutes and see if it stops. the switch can be removed in like a few seconds just pop down the fuse cubby thing and reach up and push the back of the fog and level switch out. Then carefuly remove it from the faceplate and unplug it .

What part of jeresey are you in. i got an mr so i might be able to check it for you

I had that problem. It was the servo. They replaced the whole headlight assembly under warranty. Dealer said the whole headlight has to be replaced to fix it.

If you're no longer under warranty I'd suggest just trying to cut the power to the servo motor because those headlights are expensive.

Before I got mine fixed I just ran the switch up and down through the numbers and it would quit moving then.

Mine passenger's side HID has been doing that off and on for about a year. It normally happens when I first turn the lights on in the morning. I can see the right one go up and down two times (on the wall of the garage) then it's fine. Hopefully it doesn't get worse. Sounds like an expensive fix.

Dealer told me it would've been $1,200 if it hadn't been under warranty. I told him, no it wouldn't, I would've just lived with it.
