Got a case of the P0300 bug

Well after my service engine light soon started going on and off a few weeks ago I decided to go to auto zone. Yep, it is the misfire in multiple cylinder's code. This mostly started to happen after cam install. I did the plugs NGK BPR8ES gapped to 0.022. First is there any harm in running with this code? Second after searching there does not seem to be a fix. So is there a band aid for it?
Thanks

From what I researched...

Seems depending on the tuner and how they smooth your idle, when advancing your timing at idle to compensate for the loopiness it can somehow cause the car to throw the code at very low speeds or at cruising. I surely dont know the exact details but it goes something lik that. source: Malibujack.

Second if your not tuned that could be a reason

Third could be a wrong gap setting. Try 0.25

Fourth Try Iridium 9's

I definitely feel it has something to do with the tuning. I had a mail in flash in my car for 2 years and never got the P0300. I got custom tuned a couple of months back and it has showed up twice since then. Both times it has popped up in a low load low RPM situation. For me nine times out of ten it's the "catalyst efficiency below threshold" which seems to happen in similar driving conditions but, it has surprised me with the P0330 a couple of times.

It definitely doesn't show up with anywhere near the frequency it did in my first Evo nor does it have the drivability issues that came with it in the first car. My first Evo wasn't tuned when it had those probelems though. That was a mechanical issue.

Try getting it flashed, or just flash it yourself with ECUtek.

Why are you running BPR8 series plugs? Why not stick with the 7's

Hotrod, same thing with me most of the time its the catalyic below threshold code i get. But unfortunately u cant know the diff until you scan.
