Clutch Test

Is there anyway to test clutch for slippage besides http://www.norcalevo.net/forum/index.php/topic,2608.0.html?

I did the same thing in the link above and it just dies, revs don't climb then die, it just dies. When I drive normally, then floor it, my revvs jump up then comes back down and grabs and goes (just like when my 8's clutch died). I am thinking the clutch is going out, but the test I did is making me wonder...is there anything else I can do or does it not even pertain to the clutch?

I don't like that test. I prefer the one in high gear with lots of load at peak torque. If the rpms jump up at peak boost without the car accelerating quickly and fall back down, then it's slipping.

Great. I just needed someone else to reassure me that it's my clutch and not my tranny...hahaha. Thanks Warr.

As of right now I do not get any smell. I guess the slipping isn't as bad yet? I remember on my 8, the car didn't start to smell until My clutch was barely able to move. Right now I can still drive it...I guess not for long though.

yeh once you start smelling it during normal driving conditions I wouldnt go to far from home or even think about getting into boost.

Can I ask how many miles are on the clutch?

My clutch has 12,7XX miles on it...Funny thing is, I don't race too often since I work Nights. It's also my daily driver. The times I take it to the drag strip I don't burn the clutch or I just do it once and it's not that bad of a burn. And Now it dies on me...
