CTSV's 0-60 in 4.6 --- should I be concerned?
I worked at a Cadillac Dealership for a couple of years, those CTS-V's are nice. They only let one tech drive them, it was lame. But I did get to pull one around to the car wash once, very weird getting in to a Lac and having to shift.
If you want to see a fast CTS, you have to find that one thats turboed. I can't remember what engine is in it, I think it may have been that buick V6 for some reason. I can't remember, I will try to find it.

CTS-V curb weight: 3850 lbs
Evo 8 (GSR) Curb weight: 3108 lbs
3850 - 3108 = 742 lbs heavier.
This is why a stock Evo, and escpecially a modded Evo should be able to rape the CTS-V. I won't even get into what would happen if turns are to be involved

I work at a Caddy dealer now and have driven all the V-cars. The CTS is probably the one you are most likely to see on the streets and have the most mods available since they are LSX. The other two: the STS-V and XLR-V are superhcarged Northstars and are 70 and 100 grand each, so the likelyhood of running into one, much less a modded one are slim. Even though they have more power stock, the STS-V is very heavy and slower, and the XLR-V is just rare.
Anyway, I was filling up one night and some guy with a CTS-V was eyeing me pretty hard, he finished first and when pulling out gave me a taste of what his ride had. Sounded almost like open headers and I thought I was at Talladega for a second. Mean as hell. Its easy keeping an eye out for F-bodies and Vettes, but I've got to reprgram my early warning radar for 'Lac grilles now too. Sigh.

Yeah no kidding, there is a guy here in town that slapped a supercharger on his CTSV and it is insane!!!
for those of u who smoke crack:
u will not take a 2001+ LS1, LS2, LS6, 03 cobra, LS2 vette, and certainly a LS7 vette stock (with manual trannys), i dont care if u have a evo 8, or an evo 9, stock, u will not take these cars from any sort of a roll if u have equal drivers.

Let me start by saying is that CTS-V's aree wayyyy over-hyped....my friend has one and wanted to race me stock for stock from a roll and the dig...I drive an Evo 9 and we raced. First we went from a roll and i pulled on him all the way to 80 (starting from 20), then we went from a dig and i absolutely crushed him and i slipped the clutch from only around 3.5 or 4...and now that i have my Buschur Stage 1 bring any caddy u want at me and i will walk him all day

For those of you who smoke crack dipped in acid: Racing from a dig (like real men do) you have a very good chance at beating any of these vehicles except maybe a Z06 which would most definitely roast a stock Evo. The aforementioned "muscle cars" are very heavy (remember F=ma ???) and also have no traction (on street tires).

Look around on Ls1tech.com a few are 11 second 125mph trapping pump gas monsters still on the stock block.

I want the forum to know that my next "sedan" after the EVO will be the Caddilac CTS-V, and I plan on modding the **** out of it too....
Imagine a turbo or supercharger connected to that 6.0L LS2 V8?

of If I had stupid money drop in a built 7.0L Z06 motor in there and turbo it
