no boost with or w/o mbc

Before I installed the forge mbc, my car was running perfect. I installed the mbc and was only gettin like .9 bar. Before, I was getting around 1.3, 1.4 bar. I couldn't figure out the problem so I took out the mbc. Now without the mbc and back to before, I'm still getting around .9 bar. My car isn't running the same as before the mbc. Can anybody help me?

Or maybe I hooked up back wrong. I have it like, vacuum line goes from the wastegate to compressor and T'd off line that goes to the wastegate solenoid. Then from the wg solenoid, a line goes to the intake. Is that correct???

just mess around with your vacume lines....you most likely have them backwards.....also check the lines for any cuts or slits.....the smallest slit could do it.....and make sure the stock lines are going the right way......there are 2 restrictor pills in the factory vacume lines...if you have them in the wrong spot it could be giving you this problem.....

You probably didn't turn the knob enough on the MBC to get any boost. If you start with the soft spring, then you have to turn it a long way before the boost rises above base wastegate pressure, which is what you're seeing (11psi).

Then, when you put it back to stock, you didn't install it right, or you didn't use the stock lines.

I reused the stock lines, except the T fitting b/c the old one broke while I was taking it off. I hooked everything back to how it was to my knowledge. Can somebody tell me how it is suppose to be? That way I can know if I have it right or wrong. On the wastegate solenoid, the nipple closest to the connecter goes to the wg/compressor housing, and nipple farthest from connector goes to the intake right? I'm so fustrated b/c I dont know what's going on.

Any help is needed. Thanks

You probably just got the wg/compressor lines backwards. They have to be in the same configuration as they were originally, because the line going to the compressor has a restrictor pill in it. Also, the WG hose has a red-painted tip. My guess is you installed those backwards.

Regardless, your MBC will work. You need to go install it properly (no tee fittings) and turn up the boost enough to see it rise.

I agree with everyone. Either lines are backwards, or the spring is to soft.

Man you know what (knock on my head). I reused all the stock lines to put back together EXCEPT the compressor line(one that goes to wastegate and T'd to WG solenoid. That line got cut. I guess I have to use the mbc.

When I had the mbc installed, the most I turned it up was 8 clicks and I still had no response. I have the soft spring in. I would have to turn it up more to get any response?

Thanks

Wow, 8 clicks??? That's only one revolution. You need to go probably 3-4 full revolutions to see any boost. That's hilarious you went through all the trouble and didn't even really try to turn the boost up. Yeah, dude, 8 clicks is NOTHING. You have to turn the soft spring all the way to max to get 19psi usually (depends on which batch your UNOS came from). Don't do that, though. Turn it up 1 full revolution at a time until it starts showing a boost raise. Once it starts rising, do smaller incremental turns on the knob.

If you reach 19psi at max, then put in the stiff spring and start over at MINIMUM (do not leave it set to max).

Keep turning it. It took me like 38 clicks on the soft spring to reach 21psi in 3rd.

Haha, i feel like a dork now. 1 click was like a quarter revolution though. I'll try it again and see what happens. I'll let ya know what happens.

1 click should be an 1/8th of a revolution, not a 1/4. Notice that it takes 8 clicks to get the Forge name back in the same position.
