You'll need something to go inbetween theDP and Cat Back exhaust... So, Test Pipe, HFC, or your stocker...

I have that TBE system -- they have a "high-flow" cat as they call it. Basically it's a resonated cat-delete. Good system for the money

You can use the stock cat between the Megan DP and Megan cat-back. I just did it this weekend for inspection purposes.

The resonated test pipe is by no means a hi-flow cat...it just gets misrepresented all the time on Ebay and some vendor websites.

I completely agree with you WT. When I ordered this product I was expecting something to resemble a cat...well it does on the OUTSIDE..haha!

Really? The Resonated Test Pipe I got looks nothing like a cat at all... This is the one that came w/ the TBE I got from the group buy last year...

I have the Megan 3"DP and high-flow "cat"(resonator pipe" and have been very happy with them. 42,000 miles on them without any problems. I'd say just get the resonator pipe and switch to you stock cat for inspection purposes.

Don't know what version you got Wartalon, but my cat-back had some fitment issues with the stock cat. The bolt holes for the stock cat were too close together, I had to grind the bolt holes in the cat-back to barely squeeze it on, plus the nuts were so close to the body as well it was a pain to get it on.

I have since gotten an UR cat and put up my generic high flow cat for sale. Just to note: the UR high flow cat was about 1cm shorter than the stock cat, so I had to "pull" my exhaust together.

My Megan cat-back was very new, it's about 2 months old and was ordered direct.

I had no problem connecting my stock cat to the megan cat-back. In fact, I had a complete hybrid exhaust with my new BR DP, stock cat, then Megan cat-back. The only fitment issue was the stock gasket - I just had to cut out a small amount to make the studs on the rear end of the cat fit.

Liquid, it should look sorta like a cat - it bulges on the outside.

I just got my resonator and put it in this weekend. I like the system a lot. The only problem i have is that its fitment is off by like an inch to the left of my car.

True, but it's shiney and smooth. Compared to the stock cat, which is kinda triangular and has ridges... But yah, I'm sure it looks better than a straight thru pipe without resonator...

Double check where you mounted the exhaust -- sounds like you have one of the hangers on incorrectly -- more than likely near the muffler.

Mine sits cocked to the driver's side too. It's a no brainer with the hangers though in the back, I don't understand. Even with the little bit of jiggle room with the downpipe to cat and cat to downpipe it is off to that side. I see no way of moving it other than bending the hanger a lot.
