Congrats Warrtalon!!! I highly doubt there's any other can that can do all that one day and something not go wrong. That's why we all drive Evo's...we know the difference.

You have never had anything go wrong, with all the track time?

Just burned through 2 clutches (stock and ACT HDSS). No other repairs thus far, and that's not so much a repair as it is replacing wear items. I even have stock rotors and stock pads on at this moment, though I'm upgrading for track performance, not because they are worn.

Was it mostly draging on your clutches? And a twin or single clutch? Looking to put a stronger clutch in for track days. Thanks

Yes, I've done 200+ drag runs, most of which were mid-to-low 12s, so I burned through the stocker at 35 runs, then burned through the ACT after 100 runs. I was doing autocrosses and road racing in the middle of all that. Now, I have the Exedy stg2 4-puck cerametallic single disk, and it's the best yet. I have an Exedy Carbon Twin in the garage that goes in next if/when I need it.

Are you getting plenty of grip with the single right now? I am a little worried about the twin getting to much grip and burning tires.

Tons of grip, but burning the tires isn't much worry. I don't quite understand being worried about a twin giving TOO much grip. You don't want the clutch to slip from being weak just to avoid tirespin. You fight tirespin with tire quality and tire pressure...not by getting a weak clutch that slips.

I understand but producing high hp with a clutch that is designed for a higher hp will produce wheel spin. Correct?

Not necessarily. HP and Clutch strength are not directly related to wheelspin. I'm not sure you even know what you're talking about or hoping to accomplish. Torque is what matters, because torque will cause a clutch to slip. You want your clutch to handle all the torque you can give it even when slipping it hard. If your clutch can hold all your power and even more power than you have, then you worry about your traction. If your tires are spinning due to all this torque being held by the clutch, then you worry about tire quality and tire pressure as I already said above.

To much clutch with to much torque produces wheel spin? Alot of hp with a over powered clutch produces wheel spin. yes?
