I recently moved from Maryland to PA and this damn state wants you to inspect your car every year. My father does Maryland inspections so tint was not a problem.

Anyone know where I can get a PA state inspection without taking off my tint. I live in Shrewsbury/York area. Inspection on both my vehicles are due by friday.

Any corner gas station that has an inspection license can perform the inspection. Look for the green PA shaped sign cleverly labeled "PA State Inspection" or something close.

I don't think tint is on the list of things to check. They will look at the exhaust and flag a catless system.

I called two places and asked if tint was something they "inspected". They said they would not pass a vehicle if they suspected illegal tint. The second place stated that i should go to police station and they test my tint. Like anyone would do that. lol.

Yeah i'm going to drive around tomorrow and ask a few places if they will pass me.

I always just get a phone book out and call 200 different shops. I just give them the same line: I have so and so installed on this car, will you fail me because of it? If they say yes I hang up. Eventually you will find some sheisty shop that just doesn't give a ***

 

that should be an easy find, in philly almost any shop would do it

 

everyone that i know that has there car tinted in pa has gottin pulled over for it...some cops care some dont
