Question anyone use Piloti driving shoes?

Im looking for some good driving shoes to do some casual mountain driving and maybe a few autocrosses. Anyone have any impressions or recommendations on what model they prefer?

I usually wear Speedwell Boost lo to drive, but I think the company went out of business... sucks, they're great shoes. Very flexible on the foot but with a solid rounded heel.

like this, but low top:

Not that you care, but for me it's hard to find good driving shoes because I have a wide foot. Most of the good ones are built for narrower feet, especially like the puma/goodyear ones and others like them. Lots of people around me think I'm nuts that I want a specific shoe for driving since I'm not a pro, but it's just like for any sport - if you're going to really be agressive, you need to be comfortable and supported. Good luck finding something that fits and feels good.

i bought some black/grey G16 piloti shoes from www.speedgear.com

I like them, they are comfortable and give you better pedal feel (they have a rounded heel also). Plus you can wear them around town without looking totally stupid.

I can only tell you this - first my feet are to big

Secondly, I met the guy who claims to own the company in So Cal - I acutally flagged him down on the road when he was driving his evo and I was in another evo - it was in a nice area near Woodland Hills

The guy was a nice gent but stated that he was keeping his evo 100% stock which I don't understand. To each his own

At least he drives an evo!

You will have to come out Ride Revolution Nights at the Bristol Drag...I am currently in Johnson City, Tn. I will be in Bristol, VA quite a bit in the fall. There are a few evos around, definately have to meet up.

My G16 Pilotis are very comfortable for both driving and casual wearing. I recommend them.

I just bought a couple pair. both are really comfortable.
I'm a size 14 EEEE and these shoes fit perfectly. The have good width to do easy heel toe shifting and look pretty good.

Oakley driving shoes have better pedal feel, but their sizes ran small.

For sprited driving they are great. highly recomend them

as for feel in the car i prefer a softer shoe such as puma or adidas.
grip wise they are excellent.

I have a pair of the brown stradale's
They are really comfortable right out of the box. They are not a hardcore driving shoe, more of a casual shoe. But they are a good compromise. A friend has the Prototipo and loves them even for just wearing around.
I would definitely recommend any of their shoes.

Ive only had them a couple weeks and already had lots of complements on them. One guy even suggested I sell them to him off my feet

I have the Prototipo in black, Sebring in black and the Mulholland II in white. I love the three but I like the Mullholland II the best. I'm probably going to pick up another pair of the Mulholland soon.

I have like 6 pairs of piloti shoes. They are kind of ugly, but very comfortable and great for driving.
